Facetime video looking like a negative

When my mother is on a FaceTime call with me, my picture on her iPad looks like it is a negative, which she finds distressing (she's 91 and a dementia sufferer). I have not changed any of the settings on my phone/iPad and the same thing sometimes happens when she calls my sister.

Is there any way that she can easily correct this while on a call to us - or is there some setting on her device that we can change to stop it ever happening?

Hello CharlieZeroOneZero,

We see you're looking to help your mother with what they're seeing on FaceTime calls, and we'd be happy to help out.

As they're seeing the same thing when calling your sister, it sounds like the root of things is from their own iPad.

For issues with colors on the display, this could be the result of some Accessibility settings being enabled. This page helps to go over the various ones they can find on the iPad: Adjust the display and text size on iPad

Try having them turn off any of those that may have been enabled, and see if that helps.

Cheers.
