Big Sur install disk error

Tried to upgrade laptop with Big Sur and get message that 29 minutes left to comply install. Then get message to open in safe disk mode. What is that and how do I get past it?

Reinstallation error on macOS Big Sur Hi, I recently tried to wipe my disk named “Macintosh HD” . I followed a tutorial on YouTube and it worked perfectly until the reinstallation part. I tried to reinstall macOS Big Sur two times and this is the error I got: The guy first said to erase the main disk which is Macintosh HD and then deleting the other volume (Macintosh HD - Data) by clicking the minus button. Everytime I tried to install the software, it is stuck in “About 10 minutes remaining” and gives that error. I have 25 GB used in Macintosh HD after trying to install twice. Please help.

Damaged Installer error— Big Sur Getting this error when trying to install Big Sur. Tried redownloading from App Store, no download for this on their download site. Tried making bootable media from it, same error. Wiped drive for fresh OS install, same error. First Aid Utility on the SSD, same install. I've tried everything I've found here already, adding my voice to the mix. Early 2015 mac book pro

Have you tried the upgrade process again after booting up your Mac in Safe Mode?
