I am on my moms iCloud so we both share the same iCloud and I just got a new Mac book and I am going both of our texts how do I change it to just get mine and not hers?

You will have to create your own Apple ID account to prevent this from happening. You should be experiencing the same on your iPhone (if you have one) if your iPhone is connected to the same Apple lD as your mom's. Use your own Apple and look into ➡️ Family Sharing.
