internet sharing not working

Hello,

I am trying to use Internet Sharing from my Macbook Air (with VPN active) to my android.

I have it all set up properly (or so I think), but my phone cannot locate the network. I don't think the Macbook is in fact sharing the signal because the WiFi icon does not change. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong - any insights?

Auto-connect not working for WiFi Hotspot in GM vehicle We’ve had a Wi-Fi hotspot in our car for a couple of years. My iPhone has always auto connected after starting the car. It recently stopped auto connecting even though I still have auto join on. I have to manually select the Wi-Fi every time I get in the car. My husband has a Samsung and has no issue with auto connecting.

iPhone won't automatically connect to car Wi-Fi My iphone used to be able to Auto-Join my car Wifi with SW ver 15, but when i upgraded to SW ver 16, my phone stopped Auto-Join Car Wifi and now I have to connect manually. I do not have any issues auto-joining Home network or any other Auto-Join networks. This seems to only impact my Car Wifi. I have also turned "Private Wi-Fi Address" On and Off and that did not work.
