Hey guys, so I don’t know how to purchase the $50 add on to the SE that makes you be able to text and call without your phone near you. I haven’t purchased the watch. Can someone please help?

Apple Watch Cellular vs. GPS I am currently looking to purchase the series 7 apple watch. This is going to be my first ever apple watch. I am just stuck on which one to get, I want the GPS one as I don't have the money to pay extra monthly for cellular. BUT I was wondering.. I always have my phone with me so would I still be able to make calls or send messages through the watch when my phone is with me? Family setup no longer available in Australia - Truphone not taking more customers I bought my daughter an apple watch so we could contact her without needing to get her a phone. We specifically chose the apple watch so we could control contacts etc We bought one for our son about a year earlier and it works well. However, this is no longer an option as Truphone (the sole provider in AU) is no longer taking new customers. As a result family setup isnt working in AU. We returned the watch and apple gave us a refund. Apple have not updated their website and Ive tried emailing and calling no no avail. My question is this - Does anyone know if Apple is working on finding an alternative MVNO or carrier for this service? Im still keen to get one for my daughter, but if no fix is coming then I'll just move on. It would be good if Apple would change its website or at least acknowledge my complaint.. If anyone has any insight be great to hear. cheers

You contact your network carrier, if they support the apple cellular watch then you will be charged a monthly fee on your existing phone contract.

Then you can start the setup here;

Set up cellular on Apple Watch

If your watch is the GPS only version then you cannot add cellular functionality to the watch for any price.
