I would like to get the stainless steel silver milanese band for an Apple 7 watch. Do I have to get the stainless steel case? I would like to get the aluminum. Would the aluminum case work with the milanese band?

Yes, the stainless steel Milanese band will fit an Aluminum Apple Watch 7 and you do not have to buy the Stainless Apple Watch if you don't want it.
