MBA Retina Early 2020 - Broken screen - External Monitor showing thi

Hi all. I just received my Aunt’s MBA Retina (with a broken screen - she dropped it), to either fix or sell for parts. I hooked it up to an external monitor and I’m seeing these screens only. Mouse pointer is visible and moving around normally via the trackpad. However, she sent it to Apple and they sent it back saying it wasn’t worth fixing. Any idea if this is fixable?

I’m tech savvy - I’ve rebuilt/replaced parts on iPhones, iPads, various PCS and tablets, etc. - But I’ve never worked on a Mac computer. Not sure if this is even fixable, so wanted to check in here first.

TIA for any feedback. I’m attaching images of the screen I’m getting on the external monitor (older LG flat screen). Screen changes among these three screens as I click around via trackpad.

MacBook Air (2020 or later)
