Hi.

I have a Mac 24 with Apple chip M1 with Monterey 12.1. Suddenly Touch ID stopped working, was not able to add new fingerprint. While troubleshooting, I rebooted the computer and I completely lost Touch ID in System Preferences.

I updated to Monterey 12.2 and Touch ID came back in System Preferences. I added a fingerprint and Touch ID is working nicely.
