I’m using the current iPad OS 15.2. When I try to complete an online form, such as a purchase checkout, maybe half the time when I try to enter information, it throws up “scan text” instead of the keyboard. I can solve it by rebooting, but that’s a real nuisance, especially while trying to check out. Anyone seen this? Fixed it?

I turned off the camera access in settings and that fixed the issue and my keyboard returned

That did not answer the question regarding the scan icon.
Hi, can you be more specific please. I’m in settings, selected camera and don’t see anything that would represent removing the scan text from apps or web pages
I did that. The scan text message doesn’t appear now, but neither does my keyboard.
Typical. I have the same issue and every answer is cryptic. It’s one thing of this we’re the first time but this always happens. “Go here, here, and here… “ except I never have the same choices they are talking about. This is my last iPhone.
Where in settings? Under what heading? Camera setting? Keyboard settings?

That only will work if you are under the delusion that other phones don’t have issues.
