Thanks for helping. One is a 2009 with a mini display port in the back that I intend to use as a second monitor, the other is a newer model (don't know the year) that has two lighting ports on the back and will be my main computer. I bought a thunderbolt 2 cable assuming that it would fit in both ports since they look identical but it does not fit in the mini display port of the older computer. I tried searching for an adapter but so far have not find it.
I appreciate your input.
What are you trying to connect and to what?
Please include the year model iMac and year model and/or type of device that you are trying to connect to the iMac.
You must have a 27” Late 2009 iMac to use as a slave in Target Display Mode. A 21.5” Late 2009 or an Early 2009 iMac will not work.
Both Imacs are 27", will it be possible?
