I would. That way they can tel you if a new SIM is required. For example upgrading from an iPhone6 (4G-only) to iPhone13 (5G-capable) could confuse the SIM.

EDIT: They can tell you if there are any leftover "activation locking" matters, such as unpaid balance on an old phone. Easiest transition is without any latent ties to the old device.
