iPad screen

Why is there a bottom on my screen always that takes me to notifications,custom, device, Siri,control center , and home.

how can I get rid of it?

Hi Jakelea, thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities.


I think the issue you are referring to is the AssistiveTouch Menu. There are two options for you to consider:


Leave AssistiveTouch on but remove the Menu and this can be done as follows:

  • Settings > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch and turn off 'Always Show Menu' and


Turn off AssistiveTouch as follows:

  • Settings > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch and turn it off.


A reason or at least the reason I only turn off 'Always Show Menu' is because I use a Mouse and to take advantage of the multiple buttons on my mouse I need to leave AssistiveTouch on.
