my memoji won't animate on my Apple Air 2021

My friend has a MacBook Pro and she gets a cute animated Memoji when she logs in. She said it has something to do with the Memoji being associated with iMessages and i'Cloud, but we can't figure it out. .. MY Memoji will not animate on log-in to my Apple Air.

We created the Memoji in System Pref>User group.

We checked on iCloud.com, and it was there.

We checked on my iPhone and iPad, and both changed to the Memoji created.

But still won't ANIMATE on my log-in screen for my Apple Air.... 🥲. Bummer, because it is so cute on hers. Hope someone can help.

I figured out what you were doing. Based on the information in:

Create your Memoji in Messages on Mac - Apple Support

and

https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/change-a-users-login-picture-mtusr002/mac

The Memoji only animates in iMessages and NOT when used as user login image.

Does your friend's MacBook Pro also have Monterey installed?

What is the file extension for Memoji you added?

Find the file in Finder and right click and select Get Info if the Finder view does not show the extension.

What is the file extension of the file you used?

What are you talking about?

I created a Memoji iniMessages. Then it asked if I wanted to use it everywhere. YES.

I have no clue where the Apple System stores MEMOJI information!!!! I think we have a communication problem.

Memoji on Mac login screen

Choose your Memoji for your login picture to get fun, personalized interactions — like a greeting when you log in or a “see ya later” when you log off. If you type the wrong password, it even shakes its head. 
