Screen flickering on MacBook Pro M1 all the time

Before updating to the new OS (Monterey), last night I got the screen flickering in my MacBook Pro M1. Some said updating to new OS will fix the issue. Updated. The problem still exists.

So far, I have tried every suggestions (after reading the online forum):

-Display- Automatically adjust brightness-Disabled

-Accessibility- display- Color filter-Enabled

-Display-True tone- Disabled

-(as a few recommended after their success) Accessibility-Display-Pointer(cursor)-changing to large and back to normal FIXES the issue.

BUT NOPE!!!!

Tried everything. It just can’t seem to work.

This flickering started even before updating to new OS. Flickering is dramatic all over the screen. Has to be a software issue, right?

This flickering is almost non stop.

Thank you kindly for any other suggestions. Cheers!

Hi,

Thank you. I took my MacBook to the service center. I was told that my display screen has to be replaced. Thanks to Apple and its so called quality, I only have to spend $600 to repair it, which is more than half of the original price of my MacBook. It has been only a year.

The worst part is I have come across this lawsuit on Apple M1 display in which it was mentioned that people have experienced the same flickering issues even after they have replaced the screen. I am really not sure what to do now.

This is a total nightmare.

All Apple could say was your warranty is over or you have mishandled your product. How convenient.
