I deleted a project in iMovie and now the app is frozen and will not close. The iMovie app also prevents my MacBook Pro from shutting down or restarting. Help.

Hold down the power button on your Mac for about 4 seconds. That will force quit all open apps and shut down your Mac. Then reopen and most likely everything will work fine.
