I received an email from Icloud@insideapple.apple.com about a free upgrade

I received an email from Icloud@insideapple.apple.com on September 20, 2021 stating that I was upgraded to iCloud for free but they are still taking $9.99 monthly on my account. Can you help me on this? Thanks.

Apple renamed the name of the paid iCloud storage tier to iCloud+, and added some features to iCloud+ for subscribers. But it’s still the paid-storage tier. If you stop paying for iCloud (iCloud+) storage, you drop to iCloud and the free 5 GB.
