MacBook Air (early 2015) VMware Horizon Client Slowness

Hello, I am experiencing very poor performance on my 2015 MBA (2.2 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM). Just did a total wipe and reinstall of Monterey. Perhaps to do with my monitor setups? DisplayPort to HDMI adapter to 4k monitor and WavLink USB Type A to HDMI adapter to another 4K external display however, all else seems to run fine, just VMware Horizon Client for my remote office access. I took display settings down to 1080p with 24Hz refresh rate despite monitors being able to handle higher. Any thoughts/direction would be greatly appreciated.
