Serial number not showing

My apple airpods serial number is not showing anything and it is saying that it is not found by the system. I bought my airpids last year.

AirPods will have their serial number printed on the box they came in.

You can also go to settings > Bluetooth > *your AirPods* - and the serial number will be listed there too.
