Brand New MacBook Air 2020 edition

At times the trackpad won't click or is very hard to click. Yet other times it is working normally. Help!

Won’t click My MacBook is from 2017 so it’s getting a bit old I guess… But it works perfectly still! Except for this weird problem that has happened twice in two weeks and lasts for several hours at the time. The track pad won’t respond to clicks! It sometimes works with right-clicking (for me - two fingers), but regular left-click is just completely out. Nothing is responding. I’ve tried to connect the Mac to a external trackpad, but it didn’t help. Neither the trackpad on the Mac, nor the external one responded. What can I do? The last time it happened it magically started working again after a couple of hours. But I can’t work like that :)

trackpad not clicking after update to Monterrey my MacBook Pro stop physical click trackpad. Some times work just fine but most of the time just doesn´t work.

If it’s brand new, you have the option of returning it or simply getting expert service and support at the Genius Bar.
