Why can't I check my Gift Card Balance? I always get the error: 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable. This has beening happeneing for over 24 hours now

Are you trying to check an iTunes/App Store gift card or the gift card that is the universal one called Apple Gift Card? If its not the all inclusive Apple Gift card (not to be confused with "a gift card from Apple").You can only check the balance of an iTunes/App Store gift card by redeeming it/adding it to your device.
go to settings>general>reset>and reset your network settings
have you go to settings>safari>advanced>website data - clear data?

If its the iTunes/App Store gift card you cannot check the balance. There is nothing you can do but let the person who receives it let you know.
