Audios and videos on WhatsApp status always play with sound by default

Hi all! I’m a newbie to apple, so apologies if this has already been addressed or if this isn’t the correct forum.

When viewing people’s WhatsApp status on my Android device, audios and videos always play in silent mode by default unless I use the volume buttons to activate the sound. However, this is not the case on my iPhone. I’ve found that statuses always play with sound by default. Is there any setting that can be used to ensure that WhatsApp statuses play in silent mode by default?

I am using version 2.21.243 of WhatsApp on iOS 15.2.

WhatsApp works a little different in others devices, people use to have vibration on then when they play videos they will be silently, you can do that too n iohund but need to change your sound settings or just use the little button on your iPhone left side or manually you can lower the volume on your iPhone from there , no need to apologies
