Is there a fix to stop the phone suddenly lagging when below 20% battery? It’s annoying me in fast paced games.

What percent is your battery health at? If it's below 80% (and it may be since your phone is several years old) it's time to get it replaced.
The fix would be to keep it charged above 20%.
How do I keep it charged above 20% when I’m not home? And no, I don’t want to take power banks with me. At least after I get to know a simple fix that needs just some taps. I’m jealous when I’m playing mobile games outside with my friends even if they have their battery near 10% and their frame rate is still smooth (slightly newer iPhones).
I almost never used low power mode, iPhone XR and now it’s charging with 34% right now. Perhaps I could turn on low power mode every time I won’t be charging the phone for a long time? Anyways that still won’t fix my problem with lagging below 20% so….
