How to update macOS to a relatively new version?

My current macOS version is 10.16.4. I can't update it to the latest version directly as shown below. Is there a way to update the os to a relatively new version?

Thanks in advance!

Only They can allow any type of update for UpGrade on this computer.

FYI - maybe a typo ? There is no version of macOS version as 10.16.4. The latest version os Monterey version 12, Big Sue=r 11, Catalina 10.15, Mojave 10.14, High Sierra 10.13, Sierra 10.12 etc.
