Why do Siri suggestions recording app usage when Siri has NEVER been enabled on that device?
When I have never enabled Siri on a specific device, why is Siri recording how I use applications by default?
I never activated Siri on my current iPhone. I found in Siri settings that **by default** Siri was recording usage data. The way it is worded is "Allow Siri to learn from how you use "<app name>" to make suggestions across apps."
Where is this data stored? How is this data used? What is linked to this data? How is this data linked? What identifying information is included in these "observations" by Siri? Is Siri supervising my usage? Who does Siri report my usage to? Who gave her that promotion? I didn't, I never enabled her on the device in question. What are the precautions being taken to prevent this data from being misused in the future?
Historically I have always trusted Apple... but this has changed. I do not like all of the **by default** settings that put my data in iCloud, that record the information from other 3rd party applications via Siri. What ever happened to **informed consent** and the user's right to give permissions rather than having these permissions to the user's personal data granted **by default**.
