How to safely remove the MagSafe 3 charger? Should I just yank it?

The new M1 Pro MacBook Pro 96W charger gets difficult to remove unless I use force to remove it.

What's the safe way to remove it?

Apply pressure in an upward or downward direction and it will pop right off.
