ups shut down computer

Does the current macOS support UPS software to enable the automatic shutting down of the computer when power is lost and the UPS is running out of power?

iMac Line (2012 and Later)

Depending on the maker - no additional third party software is required.


Have several American Power Conversion units and non required any additional software.


Do ones' home work for those that offer a special additional cable that connects from UPS to the computer.


Again, in my case the computer will see the UPS in Power Setting and the UPS can be configured to Shut Down when battery is below xx % or after xx minutes
