There is a way to move data from Android to iPad using 'Move to IOS' and the following link explains how to do this in more detail:

To minimise any additional stress, you may want to consider manually setting up everything on the iPad. It may be time-consuming but if there are problems on the iPad it does not affect her phone. It may also allow time to test and try various apps and settings to make it better for the lady.
Whatever you decide I hope it works out that the lady can use both devices with minimal stress.
Sorry, that is something I cannot comment on and have found no specific answer to your question when undertaking a search on the web.
All I can suggest is to consider also moving to an iPhone because of the additional benefits you will gain syncing data between your phone and iPad.
Hopefully someone will come back to you with a more definitive answer.
thanks. I have been iPhone, iPad and Mac user for decades but, I am setting an 85 year old lady up for the first time with an iPad and she likes her current phone and doesn’t want to spend the $$ for an iPhone. I, too, could not find an answer on the web.
thanks. I understand the instructions but does it REMOVE the data from the Android device and make the Android phone unusable after the transfer of data to the iPad?
