Chromecast Compatibility

I haven't subscribed to Apple+ streaming app because it doesn't support Chromecast. My preferred method of watching TV is to throw from iPhone to Chromecast to my Samsung TV. All other svcs I use support that - Apple not. Is there a chance Apple's gonna change it's mind?
