My child is 17 1/2 and I can add him as a child on my account to share the Apple Cash. How do I resolve the situation

My child is 17 1/2. And I can’t add him as a child to share the Apple Cash on my account because the year he was born will not go low enough. But I also cannot send him Apple Cash because he’s a child

To set up Apple Cash Family you must first close any accounts that children already had. Make sure that the balance is zero then go here - Manage your Apple Cash account - Apple Support next, go here - Set up and use Apple Cash Family. (Additional support links View and limit your child or teen's Apple Cash activity, Leave Apple Cash Family, Apple Cash and person to person payments limits)
