Game volume turns low when in-game mic is turned on. Why?

This post is related to multiple devices all running on ios 15.2.1 The devices are iphone SE 2020, iphone 11 pro max and iphone 13 pro max. The issue is related to multiple games as well - pubg mobile, call of duty mobile and free fire. I use the original apple earphone with the mic in the cable connected to the phone via the lightening port. I do not use any other app in background like for recording etc. Now, the issue is pretty simple i.e. the game volume turns drastically low when the in-game mic is turned on. This issue is the same for all the devices and games I mentioned earlier.

This is a big problem for me as a gamer. I dont even have cellular network on my phones and solely use wifi for gaming only. I am pretty sure this issue is more of a feature of the ios that apple is proud of, but it needs to be addressed. Strategic games require active communication with teammates for performance and results. An argument can be made to just turn the phone volume up to hear the game sound better, but it doesnt help. For some weird reason the the voice(mic) volume becomes annoingly loud when the entire volume of the phone is turned up and it cannot be adjusted through any settings be it game or phone settings. Also, some sounds in the game like gunshots dont get affected with the mic being turned on, its just the other sfx sounds like footsteps, breeze, vehicle sounds that get low. So, turning the volume up when mic is turned on is a serious health threat for the ears due to other sounds (espcially gun shots) becoming too high.

I created this post because no other post mentions multiple devices running multiple games all having the same issue. This issue has existed for a long time through out various ios versions. But for me I came across it only with the ios 15 versions. So apple can you fix what's not broken?

Thank you.

p.s. my main gaming device is iphone se 2020

iPhone SE

Hey everyone! I was facing the same issue and I was so restless, but I guess you guys are also doing it wrong like me, the tiny button on left side for “silent mode” needs to be on the right place, i.e your device shouldn’t be on silent.. When you do so, the game sound would be just fine.. Worked for my iPhone 13 pro max, should work for yours as well!

Dude I'm facing same problem in free fire and call of duty. This problem is so annoying and Devs are not working on this problem I will switch to other gaming devices if the bug is not corrected till iOS 16.

I talked to the service center they told uninstall the game and install it again I did this but it didn't work.

As an esports player this bug has wasted my money.

Same thing here. I switched from my Samsung to iPhone 13 Pro Max. I am a very competitive player in call of duty and needed that amazing quality in game with the newest iPhone. But since I switched, the volume and the sounds in game got very annoying due to only having one volume control bar that was both for calls and media. Every time I am in a Discord channel while also playing, the sound in game gets so bad, not clear and low. I searched so much thru the internet until I came across this report that had the same problems as mine. I really hope they fix this and notice us.

There is no point if you contact Apple Support, they will say that this is a 3rd party game, all these games do not come under us, and they will say that Apple Can't fix the problem, talk to the developers and they'll tell you if there's a problem with Apple Arcade tell us.tell me One Thing in Apple Arcade Does it have any games that use a microphone? Trash Support. They should install the game and decide for themselves.Let's assume that there is a problem with one game, but when mic is being used, then there is a problem in every single game. There is no point. There is no option to manage the sound of media and mic like in Android. Money is wasted on iPhone not for esports.
