Game volume turns low when in-game mic is turned on. Why?
This post is related to multiple devices all running on ios 15.2.1 The devices are iphone SE 2020, iphone 11 pro max and iphone 13 pro max. The issue is related to multiple games as well - pubg mobile, call of duty mobile and free fire. I use the original apple earphone with the mic in the cable connected to the phone via the lightening port. I do not use any other app in background like for recording etc. Now, the issue is pretty simple i.e. the game volume turns drastically low when the in-game mic is turned on. This issue is the same for all the devices and games I mentioned earlier.
This is a big problem for me as a gamer. I dont even have cellular network on my phones and solely use wifi for gaming only. I am pretty sure this issue is more of a feature of the ios that apple is proud of, but it needs to be addressed. Strategic games require active communication with teammates for performance and results. An argument can be made to just turn the phone volume up to hear the game sound better, but it doesnt help. For some weird reason the the voice(mic) volume becomes annoingly loud when the entire volume of the phone is turned up and it cannot be adjusted through any settings be it game or phone settings. Also, some sounds in the game like gunshots dont get affected with the mic being turned on, its just the other sfx sounds like footsteps, breeze, vehicle sounds that get low. So, turning the volume up when mic is turned on is a serious health threat for the ears due to other sounds (espcially gun shots) becoming too high.
I created this post because no other post mentions multiple devices running multiple games all having the same issue. This issue has existed for a long time through out various ios versions. But for me I came across it only with the ios 15 versions. So apple can you fix what's not broken?
Thank you.
p.s. my main gaming device is iphone se 2020
