Apple Books will not open the majority of my purchases.
"It is formatted incorrectly, or is not a format that Apple Books can open."
When viewing Account in Books the purchases are listed but when I attempt to open them, I get the above error message.
The purchased books not available on my iMac are are available on my iPad.

Thanks for you input. What I did was go to the iPad and open books. Everything was as it should be. I then returned to the iMac and when I opened Books everything was accessible. ???
