Downloaded music is gone from My Music App on my IOS device

Hello all,

I updated my iPhone 13 Pro Max to the latest update 15.2.1 and suddenly after the update all my music and playlists disappeared! Now its empty from my music app, but when I go to settings>Music>downloaded music, they are all there and downloaded in my iPhone.

Please I need your help. I searched online too, some says restart your device, other says turn off and then on “sync library” in Music app, but still I couldn’t fix it.

Thanks

Hi meran996,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! From our understanding, after updating the iOS to iOS 15.2.1 you downloaded music and your playlist are missing in the Music app, but are still showing up under storage is that right? How much available storage do you have on your iPhone?

How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Are the songs from the playlist missing from your library as well?

You mentioned that you turned off "Sync Library" and turned it back on, is that right? If so, this step removes music downloaded to the device for offline listening so you would need to redownload them to the device.

You should confirm your Apple Music subscription is still active. You can use the steps in this article to view your subscriptions: How to cancel a subscription from Apple.
