Update impossible -crappy!

Why can’t my iPhone 6 update to 14? I can’t get any of my main apps, even for my employment

The iPhone 6's last supported version of iOS is iOS 12, which you're already running. You can't update past this version. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

You can't update it any further because it's obsolete.

It was released in 2014. it's ancient technology now.

It does not even have trade-in value for a new phone. iPhoneSE with 64GB (2020 version) is $399, not so much a hit immediately if you pay over time. This new version is "current technology".
