I want to move all my prior TM backups from one external volume to another. It doesn't seem possible via Finder. Carbon Copy Cloner doesn't support copying to or from TM backup volumes either.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Time Machine volumes are now Read Only and that is why you can't move them.
Have you tried using Disk Utility to Restore the volumes to one disk?
If I were in this situation, would set aside the Older Time Machine Backup Drive for safe keeping and start fresh with the New Drive.
Thanks for the suggestion. Just tried restoring the new volume from the old one, but get the below error. Any ideas what's causing it?
Running First Aid on the old volume also gives some error, so I'm assuming the problem is related to that.
If the old volume is HFS+, you need to copy it to HFS+. Old HFS+ backups used file system features that don’t exist on APFS.
