Hi Npgirl23,
Sorry I'm no expert on sync between iPhone and Watch
Re:" I do not want my morning alarm going off on my watch".
You might want to try this method:
Delete an alarm
Open the Alarms app
on your Apple Watch.
- Tap the alarm in the list.
- Scroll to the bottom, then tap Delete.
Above is from Apple's support article: "Add an alarm on Apple Watch":

A discussion thread : How do I turn off activity sounds on my watch? may help?
Says: You can:
- Put your Apple Watch on silent. (Swipe up on the watch face and tap the bell)
- Send Activity notifications to Notification Centre (From the Watch app, tap 'My Watch' > Notifications > Activity > Sent to Notification Centre)
- Turn Activity notifications off overall. (Follow the above steps but tap 'Notifications Off')

Re:" I need it to go off on my phone."
For iPHONE: "Intro to sleep schedules in Health on iPhone"
Says:
Wake up alarms
To help you wake up on time, you can select an alarm sound, a vibration, and a snooze option.
Or you can choose to have no alarm at all.
Note: You can use the Clock app
to set one-time and repeating alarms that don’t employ the Sleep Focus or Wind Down shortcuts.
Unlike sleep schedules in Health, Clock allows you to select songs for its alarms.
After you set up your first sleep schedule, you can set additional schedules.
You can also modify, turn off, or remove any schedule you create.

All the best :-)
