There may be other issues involved. You may want to try restarting in Safe Mode. This clears system caches and starts only the bare necessities. It is slow, but you can check if the some issues arise.

Then you can restart normally and run Etrecheck, and post its report here. More often than not, problems are due to third party extensions or daemons. The report may point to possible causes.

Etrecheck is a diagnostic utility created by a respected member of this community so that others helping here can get enough information about the user setup. It does not include any private information, as you can check yourself before posting anything. You can get it from its website, for free (there is a paid version too, with additional features).

After it has finished running, click Share Report->Copy Report.

Then start a reply here, click the "additional text" button below your message

and Paste the report into the text box.

That all looks fine. You aren’t using any swap at all. Your memory pressure is green.

It’s 2022, all software uses lots of RAM. Web sites are particularly bad. Don’t worry until you get into GBs.

However, if you ever do notice huge slowdowns after watching online videos, you might need to restart. My wife was watching various Facebook videos last night and her computer slowed down to a crawl. All I had to do was kill a single Facebook web process. But I restarted just to be sure.
