How do I Uninstall Synamedia VideoGuard?

I have an M1 Mac mini, Osx 12.1. I was trying to watch the playoffs on my Mac while doing work, and downloaded Synamedia VideoGuard or videoguard.pkg. The "plugin" will not work and wants me to download a newer version which is the same version.

I am not sure about this software, and I probably should have thought about doing this. Anyway, I can't uninstall it, because I can't find it. I have been looking for solutions and have searched, my applications folder, various folders in my library. I have found it in activity monitor, but can't figure out how to delete it.

I don't like something like this hiding my my computer. Does anyone know how to find it or find what it has discussed itself as? And how to remove it do I never do this again?

Best I can tell is that Cisco bought out Synamedia and it seems the player is likely distributed via Television providers such as DirectTV and other cable TV companies. Probably not compatible with M1 Apple Silicon ARM64 architecture and doesn't play well under emulation.

If you see a running process check these locations:

~/Library/LaunchAgents

/Library/LaunchAgents

/Library/LaunchDaemons

If you locate the file you can delete it and reboot. Then check if it is still running.

You could also download the free EtreCheck and run a report listing everything that loads and post the report here using the Additional Text button. You will need to grant EtreCheck Full Disk Access in System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Full Disk Access.

EtreCheck would allow us to find any remaining remnants of the software as well as any other adware / malware that might be loading.
