My husband's texts won't show up in my imessages

In my imessages my husband's are the only contact that won't show our history. Everytime I click his name the entire message window is blank. I don't know why it's just his but no one else's does this. It just started happening suddenly. This is on my mac. on my iphone the texts show up normally.

On your iPhone, go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud, and ensure Messages is toggled on.

On your Mac, open messages, and do command + , (pressing the command and comma key simultaneously), or go to Messages in the menu bar, and then select preferences. Then, toggle on Messages in iCloud.

Once enabled on both devices, there will be a sync now button in Messages preferences on your Mac, if you need to force it.

Does your husband have an iPhone or is he on android? I can't see messages from my husband's Android phone on my Macbook or send him messages either, although I have no problem sending and receiving them through my iPhone or iPad. It's the same for all of my friends/contacts who use Android devices - they don't seem to be accessible when using the Messages app on the Macbook.

ETA: I just realized that my post was incorrect. I needed to set my iPhone to enable text forwarding on my MacBook, which does allow me to send texts to Android devices from my Macbook (and, I assume I can also receive them). Apologies!!
