Classic iPod (5?) seems hung somehow

I have an iPod classic (5?) which boots normally. The problem is that when you plug the iPod into the PC, the iPod immediately puts up the 'Do not disconnect screen' is not seen by iTunes, but the pc sees the iPod's disk and mounts it okay.

I have reset the iPad numerous times, used different USB cables, and It runs all 8 of its internal self-tests okay.

Any ideas?

iTunes doesn't see my iPod classic and the only screens I can get are the apple icon, and "OK to disconnect". What can I do? I can't get my iPod classic past the "OF to disconnect" screen. iTunes doesn't see it when it is plugged into my Mac either. Is this something I can fix or will it have to be taken to Apple for repair?

2nd hand iPod touch 6th generation stuck on connect to itunes Bought the little one a 2nd hand iPod touch 6th generation. It’s showing a cable and then says iTunes above it (assuming this means screen is stuck on connect to iTunes). It will not move to another screen, connected to a computer at my sister’s but too no avail (we are not good with technology). I don’t have a computer to connect to. I’ve tried a couple of suggestions I find online but nothing is working. Any help is much appreciated as the 8 year old is very disappointed. Thank you in advance

Try iOS device not showing in iTunes for Windows - Apple Community. Despite the title the same steps may help.
