Heart Rate Monitor on Apple Watch SE

How accurate is the Apple Watch SE heart rate monitor?

Is it normal for it to reach early 40’s? I’m not an athlete, Im average height and weight.

my heart rate hits early 40’s once a day, three to four times a week.

Could it be heart palpitations or an inaccurate reading?
