Is there a way to play Fitness+ workout on a TV w out the apple tv hardware?

Have iPhone, watch, apple tv+ app and fitness+. Would like to view workouts on my TV instead of tiny phone screen. The workouts play on my phone but when I connect the phone to my tv (lightning to HDMI) I get an error msg saying the workouts are unavailable.

If you don't have an Apple TV box then you would need to use airplay to stream from your phone to a compatible device.
