Sync status for Documents folder on MacBook incorrect Hi - Recently found the "Documents" Folder display in Finder to be constantly displaying the symbol (iCloud with downward arrow) suggesting that some items in this folder have not been downloaded from iCloud. However, everything currently in the corresponding folder within iCloud has been loaded up to iCloud from the Documents folder on the machine, so cannot see how the software is advising that the Documents folder has items in it that require downloading. I've never used the "Remove Download" option when managing files or storage on the machine I have also applied the "Download Now" option several times for the "Documents" folder and all sub-folders, just to ensure everything is in sync - but to no avail. Pretty sure this is a glitch, so wondering if there is any advice on how to force the iCloud and MacBook to sync properly. All help / suggestions gratefully received as it is bugging me to see this! Running a 2021 Intel MacBook Pro, Monterey 12.1

What happens if I turn on iCloud Drive sync while there are already different files in the cloud and on the local drive? I have a MacBook where the Documents folder used to be synchronised with iCloud. Recently, the system was reinstalled, the synchronisation was not re-enabled and changes were made to both iCloud Drive and local Documents folder. I would like to enable synchronisation again. Is this likely to delete or alter files? For context, the local Documents folder is almost empty at this point as most documents live in the iCloud Drive. Clearing the local folder before enabling synchronisation is an option. I just would like to be sure that the synchronisation will not delete everything in iCloud Drive to mirror the current local Documents folder.
