Is there any way to get around my MacBook Air powering up when I'm trying to clean the keyboard?

I power off my MacBook Pro before cleaning the display & keyboard. 😉

Unfortunately there is no way to do it on an M1 MacBook Air.

You can send feedback to Apple and perhaps, if enough request it, find a way to change that, or at least make it an option.
