iPhone 11 Pro Max Flash Issues

I’ve had iPhones before, my spouse had one too (doesn’t do this) but this one seems to never remember to stay on the flash like the rest. If I click automatic flash, and I go into a dark closet, my flash won’t go on.

it takes a bad dark picture.

Than if I click on flash On, it stays only for that picture and I have to keep going through the extra steps to click flash each time I take a pic and I keep missing moments. Worst camera system. I’m very disappointed.
