I have read and seen how to show the battery life of AirPods on iPhone, and I have tried to add the AirPod one to show battery life, but when I select the Battery widget, the only available ones are the iPhone and Apple Watch. No selection available for AirPods battery life.

Yeah, I thought it was a problem, because my pods were paired mat the time. Then I did a hard reset on them, restarted my phone, paired my pods again, and Voila! there it was.
Are your airpods genuine? Go to the checkcoverage and verify the serial number
On my phone, I didn't select or add anything.
I pair the Airpods and the battery life was just there.
Yeah they're real. Checked the SN.
