Apple Watch 6 haptic (tap) no longer working

The haptic “tap” feature of my watch isn’t working. I’ve literally tried everything. The IOS is up to date. I’ve tried a reset. I’ve checked the settings and still nothing. Hugely frustrating as it’s something I have got used to. Would LOVE a solution!! Any ideas?
