Apple TV Gen 3 - Eero - WPA3 - Error -100

OK, so I learned after a bunch of running around the

'net that old Apple TV Gen 3's are not compatible with WPA3 home network security.

Apple TV works fine if I don't enable WPA3

So I ask smarter people than me who might know - what's more important - the higher level of security or re-using older Apple TV's? I am willing to buy Apple TV Gen 4 but just want to understand the tradeoff.

Thank you.

Apple TV 3, 8

WPA3, came out much after the 3rd gen Apple TV’s last ever software update, hence it isn’t supported. WPA2 is much better than WEP, I’ll give you that. If it was me, I would just replace such an old Apple TV, tvOS is so much nicer, and I wouldn’t have to worry about my Wi-Fi being a potential entry point for hackers, if I ever thought once of my devices was breached.

Also, I do advise purchasing an Apple TV 4k (A12 Bionic), over the 4th gen Apple TV HD that has an A8 chip.
