Magic keyboard left side not working

Hello can you please advise me my magic keyboard 12.9 with iPad 12.9 pro 2020 the keyboard has suddenly mid sentence stopped typing on the left side and is instead bringing up the screenshot enclosed and other screens that look like shortcut screens. Can anyone advise as to what’s happened or if and how it can be fixed. The keyboard hasn’t been dropped or near water or anything and as I say was fine in the middle of a email when it suddenly happened. The keyboard was purchased and arrived December 2020 so is just out of garuntee. I’ve since done a iOS update in case there was a issue there but nothing changed. Please advise.

Hello NicisSmith,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are having an issue with using Magic Keyboard with your iPad. Based on your screenshot, this is invoked by pressing and holding the Command key, but this can be changed by going to Settings > General > Keyboard > Hardware Keyboard, and tap Modifier Keys and here is more info:

hi thanks that hasn’t done anything I’ve added screen shots of the one you said and the accessibility shortcuts to see if you can see anything there I’ve tried turning on and off the full access keyboard and using the restore in that section but it’s still bringing the same shortcut thing up whenever I use the left side. There should be 7 screen shots thanks so much for your help. I cannot get to the store as I am in isolation due to my parents health and age and really rely on my keyboard so would be eternally grateful if you could help

Btw it isn’t showing the keyboard under blue tooth should it be I thought it used to. How do we know it’s acsessibitility? What do I ask as I have no idea? Is there not a way to reset just the keyboard? Screenshot of Bluetooth included above. Thanks

many thanks I’ve done that do I need to do anything else before i reattach the keyboard like turn on and off iPad as I’ve tried this before with no success do you have any other ideas if the left side is still bringing the shortcut screen up as it did last time I turned off the keyboard full access it didn’t stop the screen so wondering if I need to do more first. Is there a way to reset keyboard only not iPad?

Hi how do i go about getting it repaired can you advise as I am housebound and cannot get to the shop. Many thanks for all your help you’ve been a godsend. At least now I know that its not something I pressed. Had horror thoughts of having to buy another and then finding there was nothing wrong with it.
