"Set up new device" wifi section

How can I turn this off?

I need to connect to my technical device's wifi in order to configure it. Its wifi is not found as a network, but as "Setting up a new device" and prompts me to install HOME - I don't need it, but there are no other options. What to do?

Welcome back, Art_Mo.

You can completely remove the Home app from your iPhone by following the steps to Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and then try again. Keep in mind that if anything else is set up in the Home app, it would be removed by doing this. If the accessory can still not be set up, we'd recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of the accessory for support.

Be well.

Hey there, Art_Mo.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! Thanks for posting about configuring a device using your iPhone. We'd be glad to see how we can help.

Depending on the type of device you are trying to set up, it may need to be added to Home and Wi-Fi for you to be able to set it up. Since the device wasn't mentioned, it might be best to work directly with the manufacturer to determine exact steps for initial setup and configuration. If you do end up adding it to Home, Set up accessories with Home on iPhone will provide you with more details.

Take care.
