Can I replace the SSD in the new 2022 MBP

I have the basic install of a 1Tb SSD. I need a larger one. Is it possible to replace it? If not, Is is possible to install apps on an external drive safely? Also what happens if my 1 Tb SSD dies in 6 months? Is there anyway to save the MBP?

  1. No, the internal SSD is not replaceable
  2. Installing an app on an external drive depends on the app. Check with the app developer as to whether or not it can be installed on an external drive.
  3. If the SSD dies in 6 months the computer is likely still under warranty. The drive won't/can't be replaced but you may get a replacement computer/logic board. Always make sure you keep current data backups.
